ROME (ITALPRESS) – Growth in all its forms is the theme chosen by Formiche magazine to celebrate its first 20 years with an event at Palazzo Wedekind in Rome, attended by a number of ministers and deputy ministers, ambassadors and parliamentarians. Opening the “20 of Growth” evening was a speech by INPS President Gabriele Fava, who recalled the importance of investing in cultural welfare for “an improvement in the quality of life of citizens.” Several ministers from the Meloni government took turns on stage, such as Reform Minister Elisabetta Casellati, who recalled how the premierate, “the mother of all reforms,” is also “an extraordinary economic lever,” a reform that is “important for the country because it guarantees stability and gives the people back the chance to choose who will govern it. This means international credibility, attractiveness of foreign investment, and the possibility for businesses to plan investments.” Labor Minister Elvira Calderone stressed that the Labor decree approved today by the Chamber is “a piece of the government’s strategy to promote employment: the numbers tell us that we are in a positive situation and, above all, youth unemployment is decreasing. “Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini, recalled the need to defend Made in Italy. “We point to the fact that we are at the center of the Mediterranean, that we have many companies that invest: it is our job to convince them to invest more to make our country grow.” For Environment and Energy Security Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, growth rhymes with energy transition. “The government’s intention is to close with coal at least at the continental level,” and “the transition is hand in hand toward renewables such as hydroelectric, geothermal, photovoltaic and wind power, which, however, have the characteristic of being discontinuous. The neutral source that gives energy is the new nuclear.” Closing was Minister for Relations with Parliament, Luca Ciriani, who took stock of these first two years of government. “We are satisfied, I think it is a government that has surprised, with a compact coalition. It is a solid and stable government, this is a novelty for the Italian landscape. Stability is one of the reasons why Italy is growing compared to other European countries.”
