Fiorentina dominates Roma, at the Franchi it ends 5-1

FLORENCE (ITALPRESS) – Fiorentina outclassed Roma 5-1 at the end of a match almost entirely dominated by the purple formation. For Juric, the one at the Franchi could be the last bench as coach of the capital as his team was not only beaten, but gave worrying signs of black out continuing in the groove of a “no” moment only momentarily interrupted with last Thursday’s success in the Europa League. The hosts were good and lucky to steer the match in their favor from the very first minutes, with Palladino’s men having territorial dominance and having an easy time of an objectively struggling Giallorossi team. It is no coincidence that between 9′ and 16′ the Viola go ahead by two goals, first with a masterful action closed by Kean after a triangle of the latter with Beltran, and then with Beltran dispatching Svilar on a penalty kick (foul by Celik on Bove). Roma’s situation is so bad that Juric shortly after the half-hour mark immediately makes two changes with Konè and Zalewski taking the place of Cristante and Angelino. The fruits were immediately visible for the guests in light of the fact that one of the newcomers, Konè, with a right-footed shot from outside the box beat De Gea and momentarily reopened the game. However, the fears in the purple house lasted two laps of the clock with Bove, exhilarating in front of his former team, serving an assist to Kean who anticipates the entire Roma defense and makes it three to one. At the start of the second half, Juric changed his Roma side again by removing the cautioned Mancini and inserting Baldanzi, switching to a more offensive 4-2-3-1. The tactical change, however, had no effect as Bove closed the file already at 52′ at the end of a resounding purple choral action. The guests charged and made a collection of yellow cards, three in ten minutes, namely Pisilli, Konè and Hermoso, the latter later sent off as early as 65′, with Juric resigned around the hour mark sitting on the bench. When a Dybala free kick was deflected onto the post by De Gea, the Giallorossi knew it was definitely nightfall. The Giallorossi number 10 leaves the field shortly after to make way for Hummels on his Serie A debut and author among other things of an own goal on Kouame’s header. – photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
