The Turin-based Ducati rider was 5 hundredths ahead of Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati Prima Pramac), who slipped without consequences 2′ from the end of the session. Third an excellent Enea Bastianini (Ducati) at almost 2 tenths, then the Aprilia of Maverick Vinales (+0″462). Fifth place for Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini, +0″617), sixth Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha, +0″624), who overtook Franco Morbidelli (Ducati Prima Pramac, +0″631) on the last available lap. Eighth place for Alex Rins (Yamaha), ninth Jack Miller (Ktm), tenth Marc Marquez (Ducati Gresini), who entered the top ten by the skin of his teeth.
