Eighth win in the last nine official confrontations for the world number one (8-7 overall tally), who now awaits tomorrow’s Newcombe Group results to know who his next rival will be. Sinner’s victory also gives qualification to Taylor Fritz, who thus moves up from second. “It was a good match, the atmosphere is always beautiful, thank you all who came here. It really means a lot to me,” Sinner commented after the match. “It was a tough match.
