ROME (ITALPRESS) – Poste Italiane and the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation have signed a partnership agreement ahead of the 2026 Winter Games. The Italian group, a leader in postal and logistics services, is joining the team of partners of the major sporting event as a Premium Logistics Partner. Poste Italiane will make its know-how available to the Foundation, athletes, Federations and other partners by managing the transportation and logistics of all goods, equipment and materials necessary for the success of the event at the Olympic and Paralympic venues. The partnership was established in the name of sports values and aims to support the Movements related to the big event. The agreement represents a significant step in the path of building the next Olympic and Paralympic Games that Italy will host in less than 500 days: the territories in which the Olympic and Paralympic competitions will be held are preparing to welcome more than 3,600 athletes who will compete in front of a million and a half spectators from all the countries of the world. A widespread version of the Games, with competition venues spread over a 22,000 km 2 territory, will be watched by billions of fans. A unique and unrepeatable occasion that will involve the entire Italian population and give unprecedented prominence to the image of the country and all the realities that are part of it. The partnership was signed at the Casina Poste, inside the Tiber River Park: a space undergoing a major redevelopment, dedicated to sports and leisure, in line with the Group’s focus on the values of integration, team spirit and loyalty in competition. “We are proud to welcome the Poste Italiane Group, which has always been close to the world of sports and is synonymous with history and tradition but also with vision, future and innovation. The Milano Cortina 2026 Games are based on these same elements, a great event with which we will take the uniqueness of our country and our companies beyond borders, involving all the realities that have chosen to embrace this wonderful project,” stressed Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation President Giovanni Malagò. Andrea Varnier, CEO of Milano Cortina 2026, commented, “Poste Italiane, which has a widespread presence throughout the territory, becomes a key ally for us: we are building an event that involves the whole of Italy, and companies that are active on national networks are indispensable. Important is not only Poste Italiane’s knowledge of the country from a logistical point of view but also of all those cultural characteristics that distinguish our regions and communities, a key element of the identity of Milan Cortina 2026. An identity that takes inspiration from the unique, dynamic and contemporary Italian spirit.” “We enthusiastically joined the invitation of the Milano Cortina Foundation because of the universal value of Olympic sports and because being Premium Logistics Partner confirms the level of excellence of the infrastructure and logistics services that Poste Italiane offers to the country and that represent our core business – the words of Poste Italiane CEO Matteo Del Fante – Ours is a company with a social vocation, which cultivates and respects in its entirety the principles of inclusion and fair competition. We are, therefore, particularly proud to collaborate in the sign of the Olympic and Paralympic Games with the Foundation to contribute our expertise to the best success of a competitive and entertainment event that will give prestige to Italy.” “Thanks to the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games,” noted Poste Italiane General Manager Giuseppe Lasco, “Poste Italiane will once again have the opportunity to express its historic ability as a system company. The partnership with the Milan Cortina Foundation represents a further prestigious chapter, at the highest world level, of Poste Italiane’s experiences in the social and sports field, in which the company will be able to bring into play all its organizational and innovative capacity for the benefit of the organization, the athletes and all winter sports fans who will attend the Olympic and Paralympic competitions.”- Photo Stama Poste Italiane Office -(ITALPRESS).
