CATANIA (ITALPRESS) – “The Arnas Garibaldi has long since completed the necessary interventions and made all intensive care and semintensive care beds fully operational and fully used by users, thus aligning with Decree Law 34/2020 and regional and national forecasts for the expansion of the hospital network.” This is what the Arnas Garibaldi Hospital clarifies in a note.
“Within the hospital company in the Garibaldi-Centro hospital presidium in Piazza Santa Maria di Gesù, the following are currently in full operation: 20 intensive care beds, present in the new emergency facility inaugurated by the president of the Region, 16 beds of semintensive care, both made exclusively with company funds with the support of equipment assigned at the time by the commissarial structure.”
“In the Nesima hospital presidium, 10 beds of semintensive therapy with a pneumological focus are already operational, made these by the implementing party identified by the Regional Government for the emergency Covid, Work is now being carried out on the expansion of the pediatric emergency room, which, however, does not provide for an increase in intensive and sub-intensive care beds referred to in Decree Law 34/2020,” the note concludes.
