BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – Andrea Duodo is the new president of the Italian Rugby Federation. With 55.92 percent of the vote (24,345), Duodo beat out competition from the outgoing number one, Marzio Innocenti, who garnered 41.69 percent of the vote (18,149). Massimo Giovanelli, on the other hand, garnered 1.70 percent of the vote (738). “I would like to thank all of Italian rugby, my team, my family, those who have been close to me during this difficult but also exciting period. From tomorrow I will be everyone’s president, not a captain, but the referent of the whole movement,” Duodo’s first words as Fir president at the end of the proclamation at the Elective Assembly in Bologna. Federal directors elected in company quota: Paolo Vaccari (24,460 votes), Erika Morri (23,335), Antonella Gualandri (18,260), Vittorio Musso (17,378), Fulvio Lorigiola (15,830), Gabriele Gargano (15,475) and Antonio Luisi (13,816). Federal councilors elected in player quota: Leonardo Ghiraldini (1,850) and Silvia Pizzati (1,144). Federal councilor elected in technician quota: Carlo Orlandi.
