Film Commission, Giuli “I will review Sangiuliano’s appointments.”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “I would like to emphasize that I am not at all offended by the action and choices of former minister Gennaro Sangiuliano, who preceded me, but it is precisely this respect that leads me to tell you that I for one, a few hours after I took office last Friday, asked myself some of the questions that you have now addressed to me, drawing, evidently, different conclusions from yours. In this regard, and before going into the merits, I can however anticipate that the commission we are discussing today is the subject, in these hours, of my careful verification and review. “Thus at the question time at the Chamber, the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, responding to the question whether he intends to confirm the appointments made by his predecessor of the collaborators who will make up the commission that will decide which films can be financed with public contributions. “Moreover, it should be pointed out that the identification of 15 experts was naturally inspired by the search for a varied and proven professional qualification in the field, as required by the regulations. I note, however, how the questioners, while diligent in their search for alleged shortcomings in the subjective requirements of the 15 designated experts, have, on the contrary, failed to point out the failure to respect the gender balance, which is real. In this regard, it is my intention to intervene on this profile, since it is, among other things, a criterion expressly provided for the purpose of the composition of the commission of experts,” the minister added.(ITALPRESS).-Photo: webtv Camera –
