MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Starting Oct. 1, 2024, Giuseppe Bitti will serve as President & CEO of Kia Italy, succeeding Key Young Choi, who will bring his international experience to Kia Austria. Giuseppe Bitti has a long experience in the automotive industry, most of it right at the top of the Korean brand, contributing as early as the 1990s to Kia’s arrival in Italy and reaping its first successes. After a brief experience in another company, he returned to Kia Motors Italia in 2002 to serve as Managing Director and General Manager, later becoming Managing Director & COO since 2011, the date when Kia Motors Corporation, which became Kia Italia S.r.l. in 2021, opened its direct branch in the country. The appointment of Giuseppe Bitti at the helm of Kia Italia S.r.l. testifies to the growth role of Italian management within the Group and is further recognition for the work done, dedication, commitment and results achieved over the years.
The Italian market, and the European market in general, represent an important building block for Kia’s global sales. The strategy for the future is clear: to meet market demand by expanding its range of electric vehicle models with ultra-fast charging capabilities to meet the modern mobility needs of Italian customers, without neglecting the opportunity to electrify the most popular models.
