ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In August 2025 Istat estimates that the seasonal index of production in buildings decreased by 1.6% compared to July. On the average of the quarter of June – August 2025 production in buildings increased by 0.4% in comparison with the previous quarter. On a curtain basis, the correct index for calendar effects recorded an increase of 4.0% (the calendar working days were 20 against 21 August 2024) while the crude index grew by 0.4%. On the average of the first eight months of 2025, the correct index for the calendar effects increases by 4.7%, while the crude index grows by 2.8%.
“After the slight increase in July, in August 2025, the seasonal index of production in buildings recorded a decline on a monthly basis, reaching the lowest levels since last March – is the commentary of the Institute of Statistics -. Conjunctural dynamics remain weakly positive compared to the previous three months. On a tensile basis and net of the calendar effects the growth, although in slowdown, remains sustained (+4.0% in comparison with August 2024)”.
