Intesa Sanpaolo alongside Luiss with the “Look4ward” project

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The major global changes in the job market related to artificial intelligence, blue and space economy, life science, and the skills needed to deal with them, from technical to soft skills. These were the topics discussed by Intesa Sanpaolo at the Welcome Ceremony dedicated to the approximately 4,000 three-year, master’s and single-cycle freshmen at Luiss University, who are beginning their academic path. This year the traditional appointment of the University named after Guido Carli was held in collaboration with the bank, through the “Look4ward – Build Your Future” program, conceived and implemented by Intesa Sanpaolo to engage and inspire more than 10.000 students from all over Italy on the transformative processes of the economy and society and the skills for the jobs of the future. “From Look4ward, the Skills of Tomorrow Observatory, we developed ‘Build your futurè to inspire female students on the transformative trends of society and the economy and the key skills that will represent the needs of businesses in an ever-changing labor market,” said Elisa Zambito Marsala, head of Education Ecosystem and Global Value Programs at Intesa Sanpaolo.”We have devised a program of events that can be replicated in all territories of the country and we are happy to be at Luiss today, on this special and welcoming day, to help give young students greater awareness of their educational and professional growth,” she added. “In 2023 alone through Education initiatives, Intesa Sanpaolo has involved more than 2,000 schools and universities, 4,000 are planned in the Enterprise Plan horizon. The goal of the project is to deepen the knowledge of some key skills for educational and personal growth, such as transversal skills, and promote in the younger generations a greater awareness of the rapidly and continuously changing context. In the Aula Magna Mario Arcelli, on the Luiss Campus in Viale Pola, experts, professors, entrepreneurs, startuppers and sports champions took turns to delve into the challenges that await tomorrow’s professionals, starting with new technologies – with Artificial Intelligence in the lead – and the importance of transversal training that integrates vertical competencies with soft skills. The ceremony was also an opportunity to award the 10 Theses of Excellence created by recent Luiss graduates of the 2022/2023 academic year. There were also many moments of interaction with the students present, who were invited to tell their point of view on the impact that transformational trends have on society. “We are very happy to welcome the freshmen who are starting their academic path at Luiss today together with an exceptional partner, Intesa Sanpaolo. The link with the business world to anticipate the needs and skills of tomorrow, which is an integral part of our DNA, is thus perceived from the very first day at the University,” said Rector Paolo Boccardelli. “Not only that. On this special day for our students,” he added, “we also celebrate another important milestone: the 25th place in the world obtained by the Master’s Degree in Management in the prestigious Financial Times rankings. This is a result that makes us particularly proud, because it confirms the international competitiveness of our academic programs and reinforces the role of Luiss as an increasingly attractive global laboratory of innovation and development. “For years Intesa Sanpaolo has been collaborating at various levels with universities and schools of different levels, proposing initiatives to support research, to counter the brain drain, internationalization, integration with the industrial fabric, educational inclusion and to support talent and merit. The project is part of the broader commitment of the bank, which has always had a strong focus on training young people, developing transversal skills, and supporting the internationalization of schools, all tools to enable young people to adapt to an ever-changing work landscape. In 2023 Intesa Sanpaolo involved more than 2,000 schools and universities, 4,000 are planned in the 2022-2025 Business Plan horizon.
