Inzaghi “The new Champions is an all against all.”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – “Winning is difficult, winning again even more so. The boys are working with maximum commitment, we lack that continuity we had last year but so many teams are having difficulties. We are also trying to improve, we are working and I am confident.” Inter coach Simone Inzaghi said this on the eve of the Champions League home match against Serbian Red Star. “The new Champions formula? If last year after the first two games you could take stock or figure out how the group would go, now it’s all against all. It’s a much more compelling formula,” the Nerazzurri coach added at a press conference. “Inter had already reviewed itself with Manchester, Atalanta and Lecce, not only on Sunday in Udine,” Inzaghi continued, “We need to find the continuity of results, without conceding anything. This is a time when we need to pay more attention against valuable opponents who are in the Champions League.” The anti-Red Star lineup is still in the works: “As for the strikers, I have yet to decide but all four could play tomorrow, I don’t know who from the start. I mean the turn-over in the sense that we need everyone, I have to make choices sometimes more or less simple. Frattesi? I am evaluating whether or not he will start, for sure Zielinski and Dumfries will play right away.” Regarding tomorrow’s challenge, Inzaghi assured that “it will be a match with pitfalls, we will have to be careful.” Finally, regarding the investigation that led to the arrest of several Inter and Milan ultras leaders, the coach of the Italian champions preferred not to comment: “The club asked us not to say anything about what happened, there is an ongoing investigation.” Also present in the conference was Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij. “We knew it was important to get back up right away on a difficult pitch and against a healthy team that has been getting results. We did some very positive things and some things to improve, however, we were a team and brought home an important victory,” admitted the Inter defender, returning to the league success at Udinese’s ground. “We have to put the past behind us, this is a new year in which our start could have been better, but the season will be very long. “The new Champions League formula? It’s all new for us players, they explained to us well how it has changed and we realize that every game is very important and can be crucial. As always, we will think about one game at a time, thinking about winning,” concluded the former Lazio man.- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
