TEHERAN (IRAN) (ITALPRESS) – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, today said that American President Donald Trump is “illuted” in believing that he destroyed Iranian nuclear facilities with American attacks last June. According to his official website, during a meeting with Iranian athletes, Khamenei said: “The American president bragged, we bombed the Iranian nuclear industry and destroyed it. Well, keep living in this illusion!”.
The U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities dates back to June, when Trump announced that the U.S. Army had conducted a “very successful” operation against three nuclear sites, including Fordow’s underground uranium enrichment plant. Since then, the American president has repeatedly celebrated the operation as a decisive blow to the Iranian nuclear program.
