LONDRA (UKREGNO) (ITALPRESS) – President Donald Trump’s administration is planning to build a 5,000-person military base in the Gaza Strip. The Guardian reports it on the day of the first meeting of the Board of Peace in Gaza held in Washington. The structure would extend over about 350 acres and would be destined to host the International Stabilisation Force (Isf), a multinational force responsible for overseeing the development of Gaza in the post-war period, as part of the US plan for the Strip.
According to the plans, the base will rise in a flat area of southern Gaza and include a shooting range, bunkers and a military equipment storage. The perimeter will be protected by barbed wire and 26 guard towers. Construction procedures also provide inspections for the presence of specific tunnels and protocols in case bodies are found during work.
