TURIN (ITALPRESS) – Jeep is launching the new Avenger 4xe and for the occasion is presenting a collaboration with The North Face that has led to the creation of a limited edition of 4,806 examples of the new version of Italy’s best-selling SUV in its segment. Reservations will be possible from October 25, while the first deliveries, they assure from Stellantis, are scheduled for early in the second quarter of 2025. The number 4,806 represents the height of Mont Blanc where the car was presented to the public and whose cartographic representation is featured in the trim of the version signed with the famous clothing brand. “The Jeep Avenger 4xe and The North Face Edition,” said Eric Laforge, Head of Jeep Brand in Enlarged Europe, “represent our goal of combining advanced technology with the adventurous spirit of Jeep. We are proud to present a model that not only offers performance and sustainability, but also sets a new standard for versatility and style. As a brand in transition, constantly developing new electrified mobility solutions and technologies that meet evolving consumer needs, Avenger 4xe and The North Face Edition are the latest demonstration of our commitment.” All-wheel drive and pure off-road spirit are thus the stars of the new Avenger 4xe equipped with a dynamic 48 V hybrid system, with a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine generating 136 horsepower, combined with two 21 kW electric motors, front and rear, capable of moving both axles and generating 1,900 Nm of torque available to the rear wheels. The 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission allows the vehicle to move in all-electric mode at low speeds, and the intelligent traction system ensures that 4×4 is readily available when needed. In fact, at slow gaits, a 50:50 torque split is maintained, while at medium speeds (30 to 90 kilometers per hour) rear-wheel drive is activated only when necessary. At gears above 90 kilometers per hour, however, the rear electric motor disengages to optimize fuel consumption. The Selec-Terrain system also allows the driver to switch between modes depending on conditions. All of this is supported by multilink rear suspension that provides greater smoothness and comfort on rough roads and uneven terrain. The design is also evolved in deference to the ultimate off-road spirit. The fog lamps are positioned slightly higher and outward improving the vehicle’s visibility at night. The bumpers are made of colorful material with a scratch-resistant finish and, at the front, expose the wheel, providing safety and solidity on rocky terrain, with a taller, protruding cladding that protects the license plate from impacts. The grille and sensors are also better protected by the new bumper configuration. There is also a rear tow hitch, new optional hood adhesive strips made of matte material to prevent sun glare while driving, and standard roof rails to increase cargo for sports equipment and more. A great innovation for the interior is the seats made of highly durable materials that make them fully washable while maintaining an excellent level of comfort while the dashboard has silver accents and a dedicated 4xe logo. The steering wheel is made of synthetic leather and the 10.25-inch screen offers integration between infotainment and driving data. For the Avenger The North Face edition, the two companies have also created a dedicated welcome kit for buyers, the The North Face Explore Pack, which includes a tent, travel bag and water bottle, branded with the brands’ logos and made exclusively. “Mont Blanc,” said Mariano Alonso, general manager of The North Face EMEA, “has long been a testing ground for mountaineers, challenging them to find ways to move faster, lighter and more efficiently in the mountains. This ongoing research has motivated The North Face to develop clothing and equipment that meets the demands of such extreme environments, and is a strong symbol of the partnership between our two brands.” The base list price is 31950 euros, with the possibility of state incentives and financing, while to secure one of the 4806 limited The North Face edition requires an additional 6 thousand euros.
