PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – Five babies in five hours were born yesterday at the Villa Serena Nursing Home. A milestone made possible thanks to the expertise and professionalism of the Obstetrics team, which was composed of Drs. James Cucinella and Grazia Pulizzotto (gynecologists), anesthesiologist Salvatore Pirri, neonatologist Francesca Bisconti, pediatric resident Danilo Malizia and midwives Francesca Messana, Francesca Badalamenti and Maria Grazia Bilello. The moms and babies are doing well. They are one girl and four boys, three born by natural childbirth and two by cesarean section. With this happy event, also this year among the facilities of private law accredited by the SSR, Villa Serena confirms itself as a point of reference in Sicily for Obstetrics and Gynecology, with free paths for birth and maternal-fetal well-being and women’s health, entirely organized by the Company. In particular, free childbirth accompaniment is thorough and attentive to the safety and needs of mothers-to-be and babies, both for physiological and at-risk pregnancies. In fact, the clinic, in addition to the Nursery, has a sub-intensive Neonatology Unit with 10 beds, which allows it to care for premature infants as early as 34 weeks and to take care of all premature infants and all pathologies concerning those born within the first month of life, being able to accommodate even the little patients who need hospitalization from the territory.
