Parma overturned, Udinese flies to the top of the standings

PARMA (ITALPRESS) – Parma dominated in the first half, Udinese overturned everything within half an hour and won the match 3-2 in the sign of Thauvin (double). This is the film of the Tardini match, which hands the (lone) Serie A leadership to the Friulians after a dream comeback. Pecchia changes the trequartista again and relies on Cancellieri, who centralizes behind Bonny, while Runjaic covers himself with a more physical midfield. The hosts push right away and, after two minutes, go through: on Mihaila’s corner, Udinese’s defense is not responsive and Delprato scores behind Okoye. The Friulans reacted with Thauvin, but continued to expose themselves to the opponent’s restarts: excellent competition from Man and Mihaila, while Bernabè towered in midfield. The guests’ best chance is a near-goal: Chichizola performs a miracle, preventing Coulibaly’s own goal. In the final minutes there is only Parma, which pushes and goes through at 42′: Man’s feed and great movement by Bonny, who leaves no chance for Okoye. Runjaic reacted in the second half with a double change, given the 2-0 scoreline: out went Giannetti and Payero, in came Kabasele and Ekkelenkamp for a change of pace. The move works because, after only four minutes, Udinese shorten with Lucca: Kamara’s cross and perfect framing of the forward. After the goal Pecchia covers up: out comes Cancellieri and in comes Mandela Keita, the most expensive purchase in Parma’s recent history (12 million). Pecchia’s move, however, does not work and, indeed, Udinese equalizes soon after replacing (surprisingly) Lucca: on a cross from the right, Davis swoops in and beats Chichizola, but is “blown away” by the authorship of the goal by the touch on the line of teammate Thauvin. The omelet is made for the Ducals, who also remain in ten: match-shock by Mandela Keita, who makes every choice wrong and within eighteen minutes is sent off for double admonition. The match thus undergoes its final turn and, at 78′, Udinese takes the lead: Davis makes the save, Ekkelenkamp engages Chichizola, and Thauvin inserts his one-two into an empty goal. The goal is initially disallowed for a dubious offside, but Var intervenes and restores the goal. The Friulians thus make it 3-2 and put the match on ice, as Parma loses Mihaila to injury. Three invaluable points for Runjaic, who climbs to 10 and makes history: his Udinese is the lone Serie A leader after four matches, while Parma continues to collect less than it deserves, stopping at 4 after a physical and mental collapse in the second half.- photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
