ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Lebanon is, and must remain, a peace project. Let us not forget what a pope said: ‘Lebanon is a message, and this message is a project of peace.’ Its vocation, of Lebanon, is to be a land where diverse communities live together putting the common good before particular advantages, where different religions and confessions meet in fraternity.” Pope Francis said this, according to Vatican News reports, while receiving in audience at the Vatican family members of the victims of the explosion in the port of Beirut four years ago. “We feel and think that Lebanon is a martyred country,” he added, “You are not alone and we will not leave you alone,” he concluded, “but we will remain in solidarity with you through prayer and concrete charity.”-Photo Agenzia Fotogramma -(ITALPRESS).
