BERNA (SVIZZERA) (ITALPRESS) – “Switzerland and Italy, both held by law to investigate the fire of Crans-Montana, pursue the same goal and intend to provide mutual judicial assistance”. This is what the Valais Prosecutor and the Rome Prosecutor established in a meeting in Bern today, according to a note from the Federal Office of Justice raised by the Ticino Corriere.
The two parties reaffirmed their willingness to strengthen cooperation, with a strong coordination of judicial assistance. The Italian polluters, according to the statement, will be able to participate, at regular intervals and from the next days, to the operations of judicial assistance in Switzerland, starting from the selection of the probatory material already collected. Judicial assistance does not affect the competences regarding investigation proceedings, entrusted in Swiss territory to the Valais Procura.
