Stellantis range compatible with HVO diesel fuel

AMSTERDAM (HOLLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Stellantis has announced that its entire range of “light duty” cars and commercial vehicles are fully compatible with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) diesel fuel. HVO, unlike conventional petroleum-based diesel, is a biofuel produced from renewable raw materials such as waste vegetable oils, animal fat waste, and waste frying oils. Due to the hydrogenation process by which it is produced, this fuel is cleaner, as it is sulfur-free and low in aromatic compounds and pollutants. The compatibility of HVO diesel fuel is also extended to many existing Stellantis vehicles with Euro 5 and Euro 6 approvals that have “XTL” on the fuel filler neck. Also compatible with HVO diesel fuel are some Euro 6 diesel vehicles without XTL wording, equipped with the following powertrains: 1.3 MultiJet, 1.6 MultiJet, 2.0 MultiJet, 2.2 MultiJet, New 2.2 MultiJet 4.0, 3.0 V6 MultiJet, 2.3 MultiJet (F1A – Fiat Ducato). By expanding the range of sustainable options, Stellantis strengthens its commitment to environmental protection and offers maximum freedom of choice to its customers.
