HANNOVER (GERMANY) (ITALPRESS) – IAA Transportation 2024, Europe’s largest trade fair dedicated to commercial and industrial vehicles, will take place from September 17 to 22 in Hannover, and will be attended by professionals and important brands in the industry. Among them, Stellantis Pro One, the Group’s business unit dedicated to commercial vehicles, will present itself at the event on the strength of its leadership position in the EU30 region, with a market share exceeding 28.5 percent, and significant growth in the German market, where in the first half of 2024 it recorded a 4 percentage point increase in its share, with sales exceeding 45 percent. At this international event, the Group will announce the launch of “Stellantis CustomFit,” a new program for conversion and customization that has already started in some plants and whose implementation will be gradually extended to other production sites. The program ensures the highest standards of quality, safety and integration between the technological features of the basic model and specific modifications requested by the customer. In-house transformations are integrated with solutions developed in collaboration with a global network of more than 400 certified partners. This enables further expansion of the already wide range of products, from tipper vans to vans with optimized cargo space to recreational vehicles, all designed to meet the specific requirements of private customers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large fleets. Representing the many “specialties” offered by Stellantis Pro One commercial vehicles, the Opel Combo Electric, Citroèn E-Berlingo Crew Van, PEUGEOT E-Expert Fridge with EPTO, Opel Movano HYDROGEN and Fiat Professional E-Ducato Cargo Box will be on display at the German fair (Hall 13 – Stand C70). An ultra-compact Opel Rocks Electric with KARGO kit will also be displayed inside the spacious cargo area of the Opel Movano HYDROGEN to showcase the latter’s cargo capacity and highlight the breadth of the Stellantis Pro One branded range, which includes commercial vehicles of all sizes and innovative micro-mobility solutions.Featured is the innovative hydrogen combustion cell technology (FCEV), which is already available on mid-size vans and will soon be available on Stellantis’ large vans. This technology represents a major milestone in the Group’s roadmap toward zero-emission mobility. For models such as the Citroèn è-Jumper, Fiat Professional E-Ducato, Opel Movano Electric, Vauxhall Movano Electric, and PEUGEOT E-Boxer, the Group has developed a unique mid-range architecture that offers a range of more than 500 km, refueling times of just 5 minutes, and zero compromise on cargo capacity. Stellantis firmly believes in this technology, so it is the first manufacturer in Europe to offer a range of hydrogen-powered mid-size commercial vehicles, soon to be joined by a range of large vans. The Group is ready to seize the opportunities that the hydrogen revolution promises across the continent, reaffirming its role as a forerunner in the field of technology for sustainable, affordable and responsible mobility. With the launch of the new “Stellantis CustomFit” program, the expansion of production capacity for hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles, and the renewal of the entire range of compact, medium and large commercial vehicles (12 vehicles in total), Stellantis Pro One’s global offensive is moving forward rapidly. The company can leverage a broad portfolio of advanced powertrain, safety, ADAS and connectivity technologies to offer an ideal ecosystem for drivers and prove a reliable partner for commercial vehicle owners. In addition, the new large van range features the new Multijet 4.0 internal combustion engine and an innovative 8-speed automatic transmission (AT8). Known for its reliability, the Multijet 4.0 powertrain delivers 450 Nm of torque, tops in the front-wheel-drive large van category, and features an advanced dual-circuit exhaust gas recirculation system that further improves reliability, performance and emissions. Finally, the new powertrain system enables a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to 10 percent compared to current versions.Xavier Peugeot, Senior Vice President, Commercial Vehicles Business Unit at Stellantis, said, “Being one of the 7 key elements of the Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, with its 360° strategy Stellantis Pro One provides concrete answers to customers’ needs: a new range of commercial vehicles, electrified pickups, connected services, a fully digital conversion ecosystem, 2 hydrogen vans… All this translates into gaining leadership in the MEA region as well (as it already has in Europe and South America), positioning itself at the top of the European BEV market (32%), positioning itself as a pioneer in hydrogen mobility, and strengthening its leadership worldwide.”Arnaud Leclerc, Global Head, Stellantis CustomFit, added: ‘Our conversion and customization strategy is a key element of our offering, enabling us to tailor commercial vehicles that meet the specific needs of individual customers.
