VERONA (ITALPRESS) – Torino’s great start to the season continues, remaining unbeaten under Paolo Vanoli’s management: 3-2 at Hellas Verona, in ten from 21′, and lone top spot for a night in a Serie A tinged (also) with granata. A victory that gives new certainties to the coach, forced to renounce from the start the injured Saul Coco: his attack runs to perfection, with all three center forwards deployed (Zapata, Sanabria and Adams) in goal. The start is very balanced at the Bentegodi and it takes an individual play to break through, with Toro taking the lead: a heel from Duvan Zapata and Sanabria makes no mistake on one-on-one for Montipò. It’s 10′ and only two minutes are needed for the spectacular equalizer by Kastanos who, on action from a corner, receives from Lazovic and fires an impassable left-footed shot for 1-1. The match continues at a high pace and experiences its ultimate turning point at 21′, when Dawidowicz roughs up Sanabria and is sent off. There is also a penalty for Toro, but the Paraguayan first kicks at the post and then tries a tap-in, obviously turning out to be offside and thwarting it. From here on it is a domination of Toro, which touches 80 percent of ball possession and repeatedly comes close to taking the lead. The granata find it at 34′, with Duvan Zapata’s framing that leaves no chance for his marker Magnani and Montipò. The granata also went close to the tris with Duvan and Walukiewicz, risking only on a shot from the distance by Kastanos. In the second half, Verona covered up and showcased the qualities of Belahyane. Purchased for only 500,000 euros from Nice, the halfback confirmed his perfection in interdiction and also showed an educated foot: splendid his ball for Livramento, who kicked (on the turn) wide by a whisker. The resumption, however, is all in favor of Torino, which dominates and pushes going in search of the tris. Vanoli managed his team’s energy, taking off Ilic, and exulted at 78′: Magnani lost a dangerous ball and sub-entrant Che Adams took advantage, with a right-footed shot that left Montipò no chance. A goal, the Scot’s second in Serie A, that does not close the game. Hellas debuts 2006 class Lambourde, a new jewel scouted by Sogliano, and surprisingly shortens the score at 92′: Masina misses everything, Belahyane steals the ball and serves the assist for Mosquera’s 3-2. There is no time for more goals and Torino rejoices anyway, bypassing Udinese: with 11 points, for one night the granata will tower over everyone in Serie A. Verona stops at 6, betrayed by one of its veterans. After Dawidowicz’s expulsion, there was no match until the pride reaction in the recovery. – Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
