MODENA (ITALPRESS) – In September, at the Trident’s historic headquarters on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena, Maserati delivered a one-of-a-kind example made exclusively for two very special customers: the Maserati MC20 for Maserati, commissioned by the grandchildren of Ettore Maserati, founder of the Italian brand in 1914 along with his brothers Alfieri and Ernesto. Alberto and Ettore Maserati are also brothers, and from their grandfather they inherited a passion for engines and a passion for dreams come true. In fact, MC20 Maserati for Maserati was born from the desire of Ettore’s grandchildren to leave their children a tangible reminder of the brand that today is a symbol of luxury and sportiness in the world, and that for 110 years has distinguished itself in the automotive and motorsport industries. The extraordinary car is a 100% made in Modena creation, a perfect interpreter of everything that has made the Maserati brand great and famous beyond the borders of the Motor Valley: the MC20 is the Trident halo car par excellence, an attractive coupe equipped with the 630-hp V6 Neptune engine. This bespoke version is enhanced by distinctive details, luxurious finishes, and made even more extraordinary by a refined and dedicated customization, the result of the Fuoriserie personalization program, reflecting the desire to pay homage to Maserati’s history and make this gem a car with a unique personality. The MC20 Maserati super sports car for Maserati is a bespoke with priceless emotional and symbolic value, as it is the custodian of the DNA and history of an entire family, rich in values that endure over time through the best testimony of the Trident: a new icon signed Maserati. MC20 Maserati for Maserati is a Maserati in its deepest sense: the Blu Infinito livery is one of the most representative colors of the Trident production, enriched by the double stripe in Bianco Pastello that gives the car an even more sporty character. The harmonious contrast between the brilliant paint and the racing-style trim is sealed by the Trident in Grey Pastel prominently displayed on the tonneau, where the roaring Neptune engine “rests.” The exterior features the carbon fiber package – which also enhances the interior – and bespoke content, such as the “Maserati for Maserati” and “Maserati Fuoriserie” logos on the rear fender customized in Pastel White, and the custom “MC20 Maserati for Maserati” side door badges with black lettering on a paint background. Finally, brake calipers in Red and 20″ wheels in Glossy Black give even more character to a car born to impress.Customization continues inside, where Alcantara predominates-along with carbon on the MC20 steering wheel in Black/Black-while Black/Blue New trim embellishes the cabin. The 6-way sport seats allow total immersion in a sporty yet luxurious ambience; the dashboard and door panels are contrasting in Black/Black/Blue Backing, and in the center side area the seats are in Black/Blue Backing/Blue New. Macrotwill carbon inserts complete a refined and eye-catching customization in the best Maserati style. Present at the handover were Ettore Maserati’s grandchildren and the founder’s three great-grandchildren, as well as the wife of Carlo Maserati (Ettore’s son), who passed away in 2018. Luca Delfino, Maserati’s global Chief Commercial Officer, did the honors accompanied by Andrea Bertolini, Maserati’s Chief Test Driver, and Ermanno Cozza, a historical presence for Maserati: after stepping through the gates of Viale Ciro Menotti in 1951, at just 18 years old as an apprentice engine tuner, Cozza worked for the Trident for 60 years. The small event had the flavor of a true family reunion, which was also attended by three honored ancestors. The newcomer was unveiled by the production staff who made MC20 Maseratis for Maserati; alongside her were a Maserati A6, a 6C34 and a 6CM, just like in a souvenir photo between siblings.
