Urbanski and Castro’s magic, Bologna wins 2-1 in Monza

MONZA (ITALPRESS) – Bologna brought home its first league victory by overcoming Monza 2-1 at the Brianteo. It is Urbanski in the first half and an absolute gem by Castro in the second half that put the seal on the three points for the Felsinei.
The first blaze came from the Emiliani. At 4′, Ndoye enters the box, moves the ball to his left and goes for the shot, finding Turati ready for a two-time save. The Brianzoli’s retort came in 10′, when Ravaglia had to raise over the crossbar a framed shot by Pedro Pereira, left culpably free in a corner situation. The game was unblocked on 24′ and it was Italiano’s men who scored. Lykogiannis crosses from the left, Carboni skips wide and Urbanski takes advantage to beat Turati and sign his first goal of the season. The Pole came close to doubling the score on the half-hour mark, when he kicked out by a whisker with his left foot after coordinating well in the box. On 39′ it is Ndoye who again troubles Turati, with a right-footed shot from the edge that hisses near the post to the goalkeeper’s left. The Rossoblù play better, but Palladino’s team reacts and seals the equalizer at 43′. Maldini goes for the shot from outside, Ravaglia clears short and Djuric pounces on the ball signing the 1-1 that sends the two formations into the locker room.
At the start of the second half, it is Castro who tries with a close-range right, but Turati saves in the corner with an excellent intervention. On the opposite side, it is Bianco who finishes strongly with a right-footed shot from long distance at 6′, but the ball ends just wide. The pace slows down, but at 35′ it is the guests who draw the wild card. Lucumì retrieved the ball and passed it to Freuler, who advanced undisturbed and served Castro, who kicked from long distance with a lightning-quick right-footer that slotted under the far post cross. The Lombardi’s final forcing did not have the desired effects and the result would not change again. Bologna thus achieved its first success of the season, climbing to mid-table at 6. For Monza, on the other hand, comes a heavy knockout, which leaves the team in third-last position with only 3 points to its credit.
