LIMA (PERU) (ITALPRESS) – Peruvian military air force confirmed the death of the people who were on board a Mi-17 helicopter who died during the journey between Pisco (Ica) and Chala (Arequipa). According to the newspaper El Comercio, the 4 crew members and 11 passengers died, including 7 minors.
The crew consisted of military personnel and was carrying out a “programmed mission” according to the Air Force. The precipitated helicopter had departed yesterday afternoon to carry out research and rescue operations, as well as providing support to the population in response to floods, strarisations and other emergencies in the Arequipa area. It was also planned to attend the parachute course for the cadets of the air force.
