42-year-old man wounded in shooting in downtown Milan

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – A 42-year-old man of Chinese nationality was injured in a shooting that occurred shortly after midnight in Corso Garibaldi in central Milan. According to an initial reconstruction, the victim was returning home when he was approached and attacked by two people. After trying to fight back and flee, the two assailants fired two gunshots at eye level, hitting him in the face and neck.

Rescued by 118 in code red, the 42-year-old man was transported to Niguarda Hospital, where he underwent surgery to remove a bullet fragment lodged in the back of his head. The man remained conscious at all times, was not reported to be in life-threatening condition, and reportedly did not know his attackers.
