ROMA (ITALPRESS) – On New Year’s Eve, according to the estimates of Confcommercio, 6 million travellers are expected. 80% will remain in Italy, 20% of which in their region. The trip was planned in detail and half of the Italians opted for a few extra days of holiday, making at least 3-4 overnight stays. A million and 300 thousand Italians, essentially 1 out of 5 traveller, chose a foreign destination, with France, Spain and Germany and the United Kingdom in the head of European preferences.
As for Christmas, the mountain resorts, art cities and seaside resorts are the most sought-after destinations. Trentino Alto Adige, Tuscany and Campania are the most popular regions for the Italian New Year 2025. Average estimated 410 euro per person.
