WASHINGTON (USA) (ITALPRESS) – “We are totally online on Syria. We can do great things with Iran. But I don’t understand what you’re doing on Greenland.” Thus begins a series of private messages that French President Emmanuel Macron would send to the President of the United States Donald Trump. The messages were made public by the same tenant of the White House on social truth.
In the same message, Macron proposes to Trump “a G7 in Paris Thursday afternoon after [the forum of, ndr] Davos, inviting Ukrainian, Syrian, Danish and Russian margins.” The exchange of messages comes at a time of strong tension between Washington and Paris: in addition to the Greenland dossier, the decision of France not to join the Board of Peace for Gaza led Trump to threaten the application of duties to 200% on French and champagne wines.
