Inclusive and sustainable boating with #StudiEremoinFamiglia project

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Important numbers in 2025 for #StudiEremoinFamiglia, the project created by the Italian Canoeing Federation with the support of the Department for Sport and Health. There were six thousand young people involved in activities throughout Italy. #StudiEremoinFamiglia has thus made participants, in remiera and motor practice, both students from all over Italy and their family and their teachers, with the aim of promoting the culture of sport and, at the same time, developing a concrete contrast action of the phenomenon of drop out. The commitment of technicians and corporate executives, with the coordination of FIC, has thus allowed to expand the sports offer for the youth sector (Under 18) and promote the general growth of the movement. Particular attention was also devoted to increasing the level of physical and motor activity in adults, in order to improve their quality of life as well as social inclusion. Fundamental was the work of supporting the school world in its educational function. Teachers and families have also received further support for the formation of young people thanks to the qualities inherent in Canoeing as a team discipline linked to water, to the natural environment and, therefore, to sustainability. Through the questionnaires compiled in July on the occasion of the Festival of Young People in Varese and through Google Form, information has been collected about the generating characteristics of participants and their relatives with particular reference to their approach to sport and any motivations related to abandonment. The data collected were useful to the Italian Federation of Canoeing, instructors and sports companies, to increase awareness of the targets with which they relate and to adopt behaviors aimed at improving the coach-athlete relationship and to prevent drop out. The Youth Festival was also an important stage for design development following the assignment of 140 boats 7.20 to remiere societies. The initiative of the Federal Council has thus been realized in the desire to support the great commitment led by executives and company technicians to increase the Canoeing in Italy, thus acting in the direction of a strong increase of the memberships, especially young people, of course without ever forgetting that the Canoeing, for its inclusive vocation, can be practiced at every age and with every skill.

“Thanks to #StudiEremoinFamiglia, the Italian Canoeing Federation has managed to expand its horizons and tighten, thanks to the extraordinary work of our societies, an even stronger pact with the world of the School – says Fabrizio Quaglino, Vice President of the Italian Canoeing Federation – Alunni, teachers and teachers have come into contact with an inclusive and sustainable sport. The support of Sport and Health was extremely valuable to allow us to put a strong action in the direction of a decided recruitment work.” “This project has once again demonstrated the strong attention of our Federation in the direction of ESG themes – says FIC Secretary General Giovanni Esposito – Environmental education, motor activity, involvement not only of athletes but also of coaches in training courses, inclusion of families because they are important stakeholders for us. On the basis of all this, there has also been an important analysis of the motivations related to drop out so that we can obtain significant data and elements for the construction of a better future of Canoeing in the perspective of the culture of sustainability”.

#StudiEremoinFamiglia has also provided a training course for staff of the Italian Federation of Canoeing to increase the effectiveness of design, planning and monitoring actions.
