FIRENZE (ITALPRESS) – In New York the last greeting to Rocco Commisso, president of the Florentine who died last Friday at the age of 76. The funeral ceremony took place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, on Fifth Avenue: in addition to the family, starting with his wife Catherine and his sons Marisa and Joseph, the leaders of the company of his own, Mediacom, a delegation of Fiorentina with the general director Alessandro Ferrari and the social doctor gigliato, Luca Pengue, the mayor of Florence, Sara Funaro, and the former purple ds Daniele Pradè.

The son Joseph recalled his father Rocco: “Many of you know my father for his entry into the world of football. In 2019 he found the Fiorentina, historical club of Florence. He invested in the club’s future, building the Viola Park, one of Europe’s largest sports centres, where young players grow” the words of Commissioner Jr. “My father loved Florence, its history, its beauty and its people. He believed that a football club was more than victories and defeats, it was identity and community. How do we measure a man’s life? With his successes, of course, and my father’s successes could fill a book, but for me, the most authentic measure is love, and he gave it to me and to all our family. It was the best father that my sister and I could wish.”.
Rocco Commisso will be buried at Maryrest Cemetery & Mausoleum, in Mahwah. The gyellow team followed the funeral exequies of the gyellow president meeting this afternoon in the sports center Viola Park.
