Italy will be present at the event with the record number of 40 athletes (35 men, 5 women), of which 11 beginners, plus 3 athletes, who will compete in 6 disciplines: Alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, biathlon, snowboarding, wheelchair curling and para ice hockey.
These are the blue ones that will be engaged on the snows and on the ice of the house, between Cortina, Predazzo and Milan: for the para ice hockey, Alessandro Andreoni, Eusebio Antochi, Gabriele Araudo, Gian Luca Cavaliere, Cristoph Depaoli, Sandro Kalegaris, Nikko Landeros, Alex Enderle, Stephan Kafmann, Julian Kasslatter, Nils La Radirch to compete in snowboard for Italy will be Jacopo Luchini, Riccardo Cardani and Emanuel Perathoner; Cristian Toninelli, Marco Pisani, Giuseppe Romele, Giuseppe Spatola, Mattia Dal Pastro and Michele Biglione were called in the Nordic skiing and biathlon; for curling in wheelchairs, will descend on track Fabrizio Bich, Egidio Marchese, Angela Menardi, Matteo Ronzani, Giuliana Turra, Orietta Bertò and Paolo Ioriatti.
The Italian team that will participate in the Milan Cortina Games, will be led by the two flag holders Chiara Mazzel and René De Silvestro. Head of Mission will be Angelica Mastrodomenico. “We combine the composition of the delegation, now on the eve of the Olympic Games that are about to begin, but at the same time we still need to decide on the ski man of snowboard and on the guide of the athlete of alpine skiing, and flag holder, Chiara Mazzel.
