ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Between tourism and culture. From 31 January to 31 July 2026 part “The fabulous journey in a Italy that is there”, a tour of Italy with the vision of Leonardo with 20 stages, one by region, listening to a renaissance that is still needed. A project for the promotion of our country, with the Ministry of Tourism together with the Cultural Association of Loggione del Teatro alla Scala, the ideation and artistic direction of Massimiliano Finaz Flory, the scientific collaboration of the Augusto Rancilio Foundation and the support of Intesa Sanpaolo main sponsor of the artistic project.
With music and renaissance songs, conference-show by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory (managed for many years in Italy and in the world to give voice to the “inventor and interpreter de homini e de natura” with numerous awards), on original texts by Leonardo da Vinci, the first “eco-designer” of history, drawn from the different Codes and notebooks of the time. At the conclusion of the tasting of local products for a moment of conviviality.
“The project represents an extraordinary opportunity to rediscover Italy and its wonders through the gaze and genius of Leonardo da Vinci, combining culture, tourism and valorisation of the territory – says the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè -. An initiative that fits perfectly in the wake of our commitment to sustainable and quality tourism, leading to a new Italian Renaissance. We invite travelers to discover or rediscover castles, villages and historical dwellings, custodians of tradition, art and ingenuity, on the trail left by Leonardo”.
“Leonardo in Castello is a journey where every street is a story, for another Italy ready to be discovered, to bet on who wanted to be still here to give tourist vocation to our Country – the words of Finazzer Flory, creator and artistic director of Leonardo in Castello, fabulous journey in an Italy that is there -. A journey through a network of castles not in the air but on our land. For a different tourism but not divided between knowledge. As Leonardo would say, “the desire to know is natural to good man.” Tourists, therefore, not by chance but by love, by wonder, because Italy is a place that “cares” and makes us feel good”.
“A whole Italy to discover has in its architecture castles, villages, historical houses, villas, an enterprise on which to bet a tourism of movement, towards our history that is still too little known – says Cesare Rancilio, President of the Augusto Rancilio Foundation -. The history of the Atlantic Code in Villa Arconati donated by Galeazzo Arconati is a great example not known as patronage. The FAR will follow the tour promoting interests and values of the Italian territory for a new and different foundation of hospitality between tourism and culture”.
“Music is not only listening but also vision. With this project we spread in favour of young people an Italy still to be discovered where art, history and music are the guides of an educated and educational tourism”, says Gino Vezzini, President of the Amici Cultural Association of the Loggione del Teatro alla Scala.
The tour begins in Tuscany on Saturday 31 January at 11.00 in the birthplace of Leonardo, in Vinci, at the Palazzina Uzielli, which with the Castle of the Counts Guidi constitutes the complex of the Leonardian Museum.
“Vinci welcomes with pride “Leonardo in Castello”, the first stage of the new national tour of Massimiliano Finazzer Flory – says Daniele Vanni, Mayor of Vinci -. Starting from Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo, means giving centrality to a figure that has indelible marked the history of thought, art and science. This event represents a high encounter between theatre, culture and identity, able to speak to the contemporary public through the voice of one of the most refined interpreters of Italian cultural dissemination. Special thanks to Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, not only for the organization of the event, but always to show great affection and great attention to our city”. The second stage will be in Lombardy, in Vigevano, at the Castle of the city Sunday 8 February at 16.00; to follow in Friuli Venezia Giulia to the Castle of Duino Sunday 8 March at 16.00.
