ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Every Mazda is designed to transform every move, from the daily journey to the long journeys, into an experience capable of promoting well-being, driving pleasure and quality of life on board. A goal that also passes, and above all, through sound. In the development of Mazda3, CX-60, CX-80 and the new CX-5, the House of Hiroshima dedicated particular attention to the acoustic design of the cabin and the audio system, considered key elements of the Jinba Ittai concept, the harmony between driver and vehicle. Recent studies show how vibrations, in addition to being perceived as sounds, generate physical sensations that directly affect psychophysical well-being. Starting from this principle, Mazda carefully selected and filtered the vibrations on board, letting only those that can improve comfort and driving engagement. It also benefits from the quality of the conversation between passengers, possible effortlessly on all files, such as on the CX-80, and the sound harmony between electric and thermal motorizations in the Plug-in Hybrid versions. Listening to music is an integral part of the Mazda driving experience and is considered from the early stages of vehicle design. The Harmonic Acoustic system was created with the aim of recreating on board the effect of a high-level domestic Hi-Fi system, exceeding the acoustic complexity typical of a car’s cabin, where background noises, resonances and structural vibrations can compromise sound quality. Thanks to the integrated design of the Large platform, developed from a white sheet, Mazda engineers were able to intervene on the structure of the body to accommodate a three-way audio system with low, medium and high carefully separated. The bass, placed in a dedicated housing instead of in the doors, guarantee deep and controlled reproduction, while mid-range and tweeter are positioned to optimize the sound scene in front of the driver. A sophisticated DSP makes it possible to compensate for the decentralized position of the driving seat, perfectly centering the sound image. The system is completed by an amplifier developed in six years, equipped with dedicated components and exclusive technologies such as the MSR NR, for reduction of digital impulsive noise, and management of high resolution audio files. The result is an immersive listening experience and consistent with the Mazda philosophy, where music is not a simple background, but becomes an integral part of the journey.
