TORINO (ITALPRESS) – 2025 represented a historical page for Lancia in the world of competitions, with the official return to races sealed by the conquest of the title drivers and builders in the Italian Championship Two Wheels. A double crown that has certified the solidity of the technical and sports project and has strengthened the role of the brand within the CIAR.
Starting from these bases, the Lancia Trophy is ready to return in great style on the streets of the Italian rallies also in 2026: the absolute protagonist will once again be the Lancia Ypsilon, which in the second edition of the championship signed by the Casa di Torino doubles its presence.
In addition to the consolidated Ypsilon Rally4 HF, the new Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6, will debut, opening the doors of the Trophy to a new generation of drivers.
It will still be the Italian Absolute Rally Sparco Championship. It will be in fact still the CIAR to host the 6 races of the Lancia 2026 Trophy, articulated on 5 events of which one with double race, following as last year the most iconic stages of the calendar without losing eye to international appointments. The Rally Il Ciocco will improve the launch of the Lancia Trophy dedicated to the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, while the Due Valli will see the debut of the new Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6, from here on the two trophies will follow the same path.
On the Rally4 front, confirmed the rich prize pool that characterized the first edition of the Trophy. It will be rewarded both the absolute ranking and the three categories provided: Junior, reserved for drivers under 25, Master, dedicated to drivers up to 35 years, and Expert, for drivers over 35 years. Each race will award prizes dedicated to each category, but above all the prestigious final prize remains unchanged, which will offer the Under 35 Champion the opportunity to become Official Pilot Lancia in 2027, in Italy or in Europe. On the technical front, a key role will be played by tires, with Michelin ready to introduce a new product.
The great novelty of 2026 is however the establishment of the class dedicated to the Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6, the smallest of the Ypsilon competition: a true entry level that will allow access to the world of rallyes to an even wider audience. Even the drivers behind the wheel of the Rally6 will be able to count on a dedicated prize pool, structured with the same winning formula of the sister major Rally4, with race prizes for race and an important final prize for the champion.
The new category will follow the Trophy in the same appointments that will see the Rally4, participating in 4 events for a total of 5 races. All details of the Lancia 2026 Trophy will be officially unveiled at the Racing Meeting on February 7 and 8 at the Vicenza Fair.
