ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In Nba, the Texano derby always wins who plays at home: is the seventh consecutive time that happens, and this time to benefit from it are the Houston Rockets, who beat the Dallas Mavericks for 111-107 canceling another great performance of Cooper Flagg. Nineteen-year-old talent goes beyond 30 points for the fifth time in season, signing a double from 34-12, but behind him, there is little else for the Mavs. The Rockets keep the lead up to the end, especially thanks to the triple double vented by Amen Thompson (21-8-9), which meets Kevin Durant’s non-shiny shooting night (13 points and 6/17 from the field) and Alperen Sengun (14 points and 6/20 from the field).
Houston, thus, maintains fourth place in the West in front of the Minnesota Timberwolves, which center their fourth success in a row overtaking home the Memphis Grizzlies for 114-131. Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle are the absolute protagonists with 33 and 27 points, respectively, but Jaden McDaniels and Naz Ried are added with 20 points each. For Memphis the only smile comes from Ty Jerome, who, at the seasonal debut, closes from top scorer of his with 20 points.
Moving to the East, Charlotte Hornets are even better, which rise to six consecutive successes and continue to rise to one of the top ten. To decide the match against San Antonio Spurs, won for 111-106, is above all the second quarter (35-17), which allows to contain the return of guests in the second half. Among the Hornets is Brandon Miller, who signs a 26-point performance and 8 rebounds, but also the 21-point Collin Sexton from the bench with the 7/8-point field of which five triples to sign on five attempted. The Spurs send seven double-digit players, including Dylan Harper, top scorer from the bench with 20 points, but lacks Victor Wembanyama, who stops at 16.
Among other games, the Chicago Bulls immediately “sold” against the Miami Heat, winning for 118-125, while home wins of the Indiana Pacers against the Atlanta Hawks (129-124 despite the 33-12-10 triple of Jalen Johnson) and Phialdelphia 76ers against the New Orlenas Pelicans for 124-114 thanks to the 40 points of Joel Embiid (among guests).
