MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The two-wheel motor market opens on 2026 with a positive signal. According to data of motorcycle registrations, scooters and mopeds spread by Confindustria Ancma, January recorded a total growth of 6.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. A result that should be read in the light of the structural characteristics of the month: with a less working day and an impact on the annual trend of about 5%, January is traditionally confirmed as an interlocutory month, waiting for more consolidated indications from the coming months.
Entering the data, as anticipated, the first month of the year marks a growth of 6.5% of the market two wheels and 19.282 vehicles put in the road. They are the bikes to record the best performance with a double digit increase (16,26%) and 8,099 licensed vehicles. In slight decrease scooters, which lose 1,47 percentage points and enroll 10,400 units.
They recover a third of their market the mopeds, which grow by 33,85% with 783 registered units. Good market performance with zero emissions, which recorded an increase of 18.44% and 334 vehicles sold. The decrease in cyclomotors (-21.5% and 84 units) is, in fact, widely compensated by scooters that cash out a +15.43% and 187 units.
The first part of the year for the quadricycles, which leave on the ground 19.82 percentage points and register 1,173 means. Discording to the trend of the thermal and electric market, with the means to zero emissions that mark a bending of 49,49% and 642 units and the vehicles to traditional motorization, which pass from 192 vehicles registered in 2025 to 531 of 2026 (+176,56%).
