BERGAMO (ITALPRESS) – On Tuesday, February 3rd at Kilometro Rosso the final of Start Cup Bergamo 2025, the program of the University of Bergamo dedicated to entrepreneurial training and accompaniment to the creation of high innovative companies. The Start Cup is one of the routes of CREO – Competencies and Resources for Entrepreneurial Orientation, the strategic project with which UniBg – in partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo through the Education Ecosystem and Global Value Programs – promotes an entrepreneurial, open and “entrepreneurship” mindset across all knowledge, involving students, teachers, researchers and the territorial ecosystem of innovation. During the 2025 edition, 15 teams responded to the call for the Start Cup Competition. The projects – developed largely within the Start Cup route between July and November 2025 – range from digital platforms and solutions based on artificial intelligence, circular economic models, sustainability, wellness services, recruiting, logistics and GovTech. Eight teams were selected for the final, during which they presented their projects and dialogued with the jury through Q&A sessions.
The jury then deliberated the winning project, RecensUp, SaaS B2B of Online Reputation Management that aggregates and analyzes reviews from multiple channels to improve digital reputation, positioning and conversions; followed on the podium by the project Linum (second classified), which develops skis made with flax fiber combining advanced engineering, know-how and attention to the environmental impact; and by InTransparency (third classified), platform that transforms academic projects into career opportunities using artificial intelligence, which also won the special Foundation Pesenti Award for the project with the greatest potential of social impact. The central novelty of the 2025 edition was the introduction of the mentor figure, professionals selected by the UniBg network based on the characteristics of the individual projects, which have joined the teams with a personalized support in the development of the entrepreneurial idea. Among the mentors, they have joined the professional teams of important companies and realities like: Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Manager 4 Education, Fundracer Capital, Evoca Group and LUBERG – Graduate Association of the University of Bergamo. “The Start Cup Bergamo is a concrete tool with which the University accompanies students and young researchers to transform skills into an entrepreneurial initiative,” said Sergio Cavalieri, Rector of the University of Bergamo.
“The introduction of mentorship is an important step: a targeted support, based on experience, able to strengthen the quality of the projects and entrepreneurial awareness of the teams”. The final also marked a moment of passage for CREO, which concludes its second cycle of activity. “The final of Start Cup Bergamo symbolically closes the second edition of CREO and, at the same time, opens to the next”, commented Tommaso Minola, CREO Scientific Director. “In the coming months the CREO-LAB will start and several other initiatives, which will continue to offer spaces of experimentation, training and comparison for those who want to develop creativity, entrepreneurship, ability to work in teams and, last but not least, entrepreneurial ideas within the University and in strong connection with the territory.” Next to the competition, the morning hosted the round table “Start-up in the ecosystem”, with the contribution of representatives of the business, financial and innovation world, confirming the role of Start Cup Bergamo as a place of connection between Athens and the territory. “Start Cup Bergamo is a project built around the future-oriented vision of the Rector and the University of Bergamo, capable of translating knowledge into concrete business initiatives,” said Sergio Crippa, Secretary General of the Pesenti Foundation, who has supported Start Cup since 2018 through the award of a special prize.
“Fondazione Pesenti – concludes Crippa – recognizes in this path a strong link with its twenty-year history and with the entrepreneurial experience underlying it; supporting young people in transforming ideas and skills into projects with high innovative and social value means investing in the future of the territory, in full coherence with our mission.” Together with Fondazione Pesenti and Intesa Sanpaolo, Start Cup supports as a partner Fondazione Lombardini and Evoca Group. Start Cup Bergamo confirms a path of growth and accompaniment where the teams are the real protagonists: a laboratory of ideas, skills and visions that strengthens the role of the University of Bergamo as an engine of innovation and entrepreneurship.
