ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Casilino, Prenestino, San Basilio, San Paolo, Fidene, Primavalle and Aurelio are the jerseys of a belt set up by the Questura of Rome for the safety of the outskirts of the Capital. At the same time, the agents of the territorially competent Commissariats for the aforementioned districts of the city came to the field in the afternoon of yesterday, orienting the target of an extraordinary activity of control, which embraced the perimeter of the urban hinterland, to the contrast of illegal immigration, the spread of narcotic substances, predatory crimes, as well as of any other form of illegality also connected to phenomena of social marginality.
Over 1000 people identified, 18 of which were arrested for drug trafficking: 4 of these, of a foreign origin and without a useful document to the identification, were accompanied by the Immigration Office of the Questura for the necessary insights regarding their position on the national territory. Among the recipients of the restrictive measure of personal freedom, a seventy-three-year-old who had used his home as a center of sorting the narcotic in the Primavalle area.
Singolare appeared to the agents also the story of a man who, traced in the area of São Paulo, had set up inside a bungalow a plant for the packaging of ready doses to the outlet. Control of the territory, but also administrative checks on entrepreneurial activities in the urban areas already mentioned. There are two, in detail, the activities in which the agents have made access, proceeding to dispute sanctions for the violation of municipal regulations. In the Fidene area, there are two administratively sanctioned betting rooms for an overall amount of €8000 for the violation of the hours useful for the activation of the gaming devices, as well as for the lack, at the premises, of the prepositions to the management of the related betting activities. Three hundred grams of cocaine, doses of hash and 2.5 kilos of marijuana were removed, at the outcome of controls, to the drug distribution chain. Two subjects, which, in the Casilino area, were intercepted along the streets of the district, although they were the recipient of the restrictive measure of house arrests, respectively for theft of carburetors and drug offences.
In the Aurelio area, on the other hand, a person responsible for the violation of the precautionary measure of the prohibition of approach for previous harassment.
Today’s controls have also been implemented thanks to the operational debut of the rates of agents assigned by the Rome Ombudsman to increase the staff of the city’s peripheral Commissariats, benefiting from the management strategies dictated by the Minister of the Interior and entrusted to the implementation of the Chief of Police – Director General of Public Security. The plan of distribution of newly assigned agents, after a briefing held by the Rome Ombudsman in recent days upon their arrival at the offices of Via San Vitale, responds to a logic of control of the territory inspired by a dynamic of continuity, which sees the historical center not disjoined by the most perimetral areas of the urban fabric, in the certain conviction and determination of a safety machine that must be inspired by a total systemic community, aimed at giving concrete answers.
