He fought the mafias with rigor and courage, to the point of sacrificing his own life to affirm the principles of justice and legality. A tenacious and prepared magistrate, a mild man of intense humanity, as well as a profound connoisseur of the land of Sicily, Cesare Terranova represents an example of a servant of the institutions of the Republic.”
