CORTINA (ITALPRESS) – One more operation, the third, for Lindsey Vonn. It is the same 41-year-old American, with an Instagram post that sees it on a hospital bed, to update all its conditions after the fall in the Olympic descent last Sunday in which it reported the complex fracture of the tibia of the left leg. “Today I faced my third surgery and was successful. Today the word “success” has a completely different meaning than a few days ago. I’m making progress and, even if they’re slow, I know it’s going to be all right,” writes Vonn, who says thankfully to “all the extraordinary medical staff, friends and family who have been next to me, and the wonderful wave of affection and support arrived from people all over the world. Many compliments also to my teammates and all the athletes of the U.S. team who are competing, inspire me and give me something to do typhoon.” Vonn, after the fall downhill – to which he had taken part despite the break of the crusade before the left knee – was taken to the Ca’Foncello hospital in Treviso.
