The visit to Casa Slovenia, in the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo, exceeds expectations

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO (ITALPRESS) – Casa Slovenia in the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo has become, already in the first days after the opening, one of the central meeting points of the Olympic and commercial events. Since February 6, Casa Slovenia, under the national brand I feel Slovenia, has been combining sports, economics, tourism, culture and diplomacy. At the same time it serves as a reference point for the Slovenian presence on the international scene.

Numerous foreign and national visitors confirm that this is a meeting place, typhus and creating new links that reflect the values of Slovenia. At the official inauguration, guests were greeted by the legends of sport Tina Maze and Primož Roglic, who with their successes inspire fans at home and around the world.

A special seal was given by the encounter between the legends of sport: Tina Maze, Primož Roglic, Jure Košir and Alberto Tomba, who with their friendship embody the values of olymism. Already in the first days two important commercial events took place in Casa Slovenia. Casa Slovenia has hosted the central business event in the context of the economic delegation SPIRIT Slovenia which has brought more than 45 Slovenian companies to Italy.

The event “Slovenia-Italy: commercial cooperation in the Olympic spirit” brought together representatives of Slovenian companies, Italian economic associations, chambers of commerce and institutions, offering a structured overview of the commercial context of the two countries. The central part of the event was characterized by two thematic round tables. The participants stressed the strategic importance of Italian-Slovene relations and the role of the Olympic Games as an economic catalyst.

The conference “Olympic Bridges: Connection between economics and sports in the overseas communities, organised by the Coordination of Slovenian economic organizations abroad and the Coordination of Slovenian sports associations abroad.

The event was hosted by Vesna Humar, Secretary of State at the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for the Slovenian overseas, and by the mag. Dejan Židan, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport. The meeting brought together representatives of the economy and sport of the Slovenians from beyond borders from Italy, Austria, Croatia and Hungary.

The conference also discussed how sports events can serve as an effective platform for the promotion of local businesses and the border economy. At the same time, the economy allows the activity of numerous clubs, associations and cross-border events that strengthen and unite the Slovenian community.

The house is also a place of typhus and sports spirit, where visitors can follow the performance of Slovenian athletes and other countries. Particularly noisy was the fan during the races of the jumpers, first with the silver medal of Nika Prevc, then with the victory of the mixed team, when Nika Vodan, Anže Lanišek, Nika and Domen Prevc won the gold medal with exceptional performances, further consolidating the reputation of Slovenia as a power in ski jumping.

The turnout to the inauguration and subsequent events of Casa Slovenia has exceeded expectations, confirming the great interest of the national and international community for Slovenia.
