Meloni “Serves more Ue-Usa integration. Ok a Board for Gaza by observers”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “We are in a very complex phase of international relations, we are also in a particular phase of relations between Europe and the United States.” Premier Giorgia Meloni says this in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
“I believe Merz – he adds – makes a correct assessment when he says that Europe must take care of itself and that it must do more, for example on security, starting from the European column of NATO. I agree on this.”
And on Trump’s criticism, the premier repeats that he does not agree “because these are political evaluations, though legitimate. Every leader does it as he believes, but it is not a matter of interest and competence of the European Union, they are evaluations that belong to the parties.” “As I have said so many times about the relationship with the United States – he adds – I think we have to work on greater integration between Europe and the US. Working to value what unites us rather than what can divide us: it is very important for all, especially for European countries. Starting from Italy”.
About the Board of peace for Gaza states: “We were invited as an observer country, according to us it is a good solution to the problem of war in the Middle East. As is known, Italy cannot enter this body because of constitutional incompatibility. In general we are in favour, for us the Middle East is a priority as it demonstrates all the work that Italy has done and is doing in that area.
I think we will respond positively to this invitation to participate as an observer country.”
