LOS ANGELES (USA) (ITALPRESS) – A single winning team, but above all a lot of competition at the debut of the new All Star Game Nba format. The formula with three teams – two formed by American players and the classic “rest of the world” – makes balanced and engaging the last act of the All Star Weekend.
In the end, to bring home the success to the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles is the Team Usa Stars, the youngest of the two North American sides, which imposes itself on the most “elders” Usa Stripes for 47-21. Eliminated in the round robin, but always defeated, the Team World where to take the spotlight is Victor Wembanyama. The French refer to 14 points in the challenge against the Stars, lost to measure with the score of 37-35. In front of it is an Anthony Edwards who at the end of the day will be named Mvp of the triangular, giving part of the merits to ‘Wemby’: “He gave the right mark to the match with his intensity – Edwards’ words –. It was competitive from the beginning.”.
Later, Team World also had a defeat against the Stripes, dragged by a superlative Kawhi Leonard. This time Wembanyama makes 19 in ten minutes in the field, but on the other hand the 34-year-old of Los Angeles Clippers is an authentic nutcracker, with a 31-point performance scored in 12 minutes.
The first confrontation between the American Stars and Stripes formations is much more balanced than the final, and sees the veterans imposed for 42-40 with the eleven points of Jaylen Brown, the same signed in the other side by Edwards, always protagonist, and by Cade Cunningham.
There is no story, however, in the challenge that assigns the title of the All Star Game. The Stars enter the freshest field of their opponents and stretch the Stripes for 47-21 in the less balanced race of the night, sliding the queue titles on a first convincing time of the new format.
