ROME (ITALPRESS) – FIFA has confirmed the list of the 12 U.S. stadiums in which the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, the first edition of the new format that will see the planet’s top 32 clubs face off for the title of world club soccer champion, will be held.
The competition will kick off on Sunday, June 15, 2025, and conclude in the setting of MetLife Stadium in New York, NJ, where the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be played on Sunday, July 13, 2025, all just over 12 months before the FIFA World Cup 26 final scheduled to be held in this very stadium.
The list of stadiums selected for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is completed by Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta), Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte), TQL Stadium (Cincinnati), Rose Bowl Stadium (Los Angeles), Hard Rock Stadium (Miami), GEODIS Park (Nashville), Camping World Stadium (Orlando), Inter&Co Stadium (Orlando), Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia), Lumen Field (Seattle) and Audi Field (Washington, D.C.).
“Soccer is the most watched sport in the world. In 2025 FIFA will usher in a new era in the history of club soccer through the largest, most inclusive and meritocratic club competition on a global scale, to be staged right here in the United States,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said during the Global Citizen Festival, staged at Central Park, New York. The announcement comes at the same time as the confirmation of a new four-year partnership between FIFA and Global Citizen, aimed at engaging soccer fans around the world in fighting extreme poverty and providing education for millions of children
To date, 30 teams have qualified: Al Ahly (Egypt), Wydad (Morocco), ES Tunis (Tunisia), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), Ulsan HD (South Korea), Al Ain (United Arab Emirates), Chelsea (England), Real Madrid (Spain), Manchester City (England), Bayern Munich (Germany), Paris Saint-Germain (France), Inter Milan (Italy), Porto (Portugal), Benfica (Portugal), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Juventus (Italy), Atletico Madrid (Spain), Salzburg (Austria), Monterrey (Mexico), Seattle Sounders (U.S.), Club Leon (Mexico), Pachuca (Mexico), Auckland City (New Zealand), Palmeiras (Brazil), Flamengo (Brazil), Fluminense (Brazil), River Plate (Argentina) and Boca Juniors (Argentina). The last two passes will go to the next Libertadores winner (or if already qualified the first of the non-qualifiers in the Conmebol Ranking) and an MLS team representing the host country.
