SANTIAGO DEL CILE (CILE) (ITALPRESS) – A truck exploded in the northern area of Santiago causing at least 3 victims and 10 wounded. According to El Magazineista, the explosion occurred at the intersection of Route 5 and General Velásquez. Motorists reported a “fireball” and smoke was visible from different points of the capital. According to the authorities the situation is still changing, so the data could change in the coming hours. “The problem is still being resolved, especially with regard to the truck, which is still on fire,” said a police officer. The explosion, probably followed by the collision between two trucks, generated a powerful shock wave warned by motorists crossing the area, one of the main traffic signs of the Chilean capital.
