The Roman tennis player, number 57 of the world, surrendered against Peruvian Ignacio Buse, 91 of the international ranking, with a score of 6-3 2-6 6-3, at the end of a match disturbed by rain.
“Today it was really hard, because we stopped, I think, four times,” said Buse. “The conditions were sometimes fast, sometimes slow. It was a difficult game, but I am happy to have managed it in the right way,” added Peruvian, to the second half-final career in the major circuit. In the semi-final Buse will face the Chilean Alejandro Tabilo. On the other side of the board the challenge between Argentine Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Czech Vit Kopriva.
