NAPOLI (ITALPRESS) – Promotes to the Contini clan at the San Giovanni Bosco hospital in Naples. For mafia association aggravated by the armed character, corruption, false testimony, false declarations to the judicial authority, ideological falsehood in public acts, fraudulent transfer of values, abusive access to computer systems, attempted extortion, extortion, wear, recycling and self-recycling, Guardia di Finanza and Carabinieri have performed an order of precautionary detention in prison – issued by the Gip of Naples, at the request of the Department of Disorder.
The measure was carried out against three investigations, while for a quarter the operations are underway. The investigations, originating from the statements of a collaborator of justice, would have allowed to ascertain “numerous and profitable illicit activities” placed in place by affiliates to the Contini clan within the hospital San Giovanni Bosco, made possible by the intimidating force of the criminal association.
In particular, it has emerged that the clan, through threats and extortion to the detriment of the managers of the sanitary structure, collusive relationships with public officers and fictitious headers, would have effectively managed the services of bars and pots, as well as the vending machines of snacks and drinks present within the nosocomium.
Such activities would have been exercised in the absence of the necessary authorizations, without the payment of the lease fees due to the ASL and through the abusive use of the hospital’s utilities, resulting in unjustified aggression for the finances of the Ente.
In addition, it emerged from the investigative activities that, according to the polluters, “through an association operating in the field of ambulance services and thanks to the complicity of health and parasanitary personnel, private supervisory officers and employees of other firms operating within the hospital – sometimes also through conduct of violence and threat towards them – would be guaranteed illicit favors to clans and other consorts.
Among these are hospital hospitals carried out in violation of access procedures, the release of false medical certifications also to obtain illegitimate scarceness and the illegal transport of psalms in ambulance instead of through authorized funeral services”.
Moreover, taking advantage of the collaboration of complacent doctors and professionals, the investigators would have realized, in the interest of the Contini clan, numerous scams to the damage of insurance companies, simulating road signs. Frauds would have been implemented through the recruitment of false witnesses specially paid and the drafting of mendacious pardons.
Among the recipients of the measure is a lawyer, investigated for external competition in mafia association: putting his professional skills in the service of the partnership, he would have conveyed information from and to prison environments, in particular in relation to the sums of money (called “mesate”) for the members’ family members.
It would also provide advice aimed at maintaining and increasing the wealth accumulated by the clan, contributing to the realization of the insurance scams by reinvesting the proceeds in the purchase of valuable assets (immobilis, cars and copyrights) and finally played the role of intermediary with unfaithful public officials for the acquisition of confidential information, in a relationship of close and stable interconnection with the criminal organization.
