ROMA (ITALPRESS) – BYD presents the new DM-i Super Hybrid commercial. “A direct, distinctive and out of the box, perfectly in line with the positioning of the brand and with a vision oriented to technological innovation – we read in a note -. The spot was created as a tailor made creativity, developed during the most musical week in Italy. The goal is to involve the audience through a story that goes beyond the automotive world, telling the evolution of technology through the look of BYD”.
The creative concept is clear: every species has its evolution. The commercial opens in a museum of technology, where objects that have marked an era – from the floppy disk to the extractable autoradio, up to the cathodic tube television – are exhibited as artefacts now passed. Among these “reliquie” is the traditional plug-in engine, presented as a technology intended to keep pace with the new era of BYD’s Super Hybrid Dual Mode Intelligent.
The message is net: “Innovation does not stop and what yesterday represented progress, today can be overcome. With the DM-i, BYD declares the beginning of a new phase for electrification – the brand emphasizes –. Protagonist is the DM-i Super Hybrid technology, proprietary system that redefines the concept of plug-in hybrid. Not just a plug hybrid, but an advanced architecture capable of guaranteeing constant electric traction and a driving experience very close to that of a 100% electric vehicle.”.
“Unlike traditional plug-in hybrids, with Super Hybrid Dual Mode Intelligent technology the battery never goes to zero even in the absence of charging via plug. The thermal engine intervenes mainly as a generator or in case of high power demand, allowing in everyday life to travel mainly in electric, without anxiety to recharge and with a total autonomy greater than 1,500 km in the case of SEAL 6 DM-i – explains BYD -. DM-i technology is in fact “two cars in one”: the advantages of electric mobility for urban and daily use, combined with the freedom and flexibility of the thermal engine for long journeys. BYD’s DM-i range in Italy has recently expanded with the arrival of ATTO 2 DM-i, a compact SUV that has already registered 8,000 orders before the official launch. Alongside ATTO 2 DM-i, the proposal includes SEAL U DM-i, which has already exceeded the million units sold globally, and SEAL 6 DM-i. The latter, second model Super Hybrid launched by BYD in Europe, represents a benchmark for efficiency and autonomy.
