ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The two intense days that the LILT (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori) have ended in Rome have consecrated to the genesis of a new strategic phase operating for the Ente. The celebration of its 14th Anniversary was the occasion for the General Assembly of the Presidents of the 105 Provincial Associations, the 20 Regional Coordinations, the Massimali Boards, the Advisory Committees and Task Force LILT. The meeting opened with the event of closeness both of the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni, and of the Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci, witnessing the full support that the institutions offer to the Body. “This government considers prevention a strategic lever and investment on the future, as well as a collective responsibility – said the President of the Council in his message of greeting. “Our goal is to build a health system that knows how to be more proactive and able, where possible, to avoid the occurrence of a pathology, instead of tracking it.” The Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci, in his speech, recalled how the Ente is a fundamental presidium throughout the national territory: “LiLT is our operating arm in the fight against cancer with over 100 Provincial and Metropolitan Associations, 20 Regional Coordinations and about 400 Ambulators. It guarantees an active commitment on all fronts of prevention, so I thank all volunteers for their passion and dedication”. After the opening of the work by the National President of LILT Francesco Schittulli, the members of Comitati and Task Force gathered in nine working tables. The operational proposals developed by the Advisory Committees and Task Forces have been presented, which, strong of the geographical and professional transversity of their components, have defined the guidelines that will orientate the fight against tumors in the next two years. An action plan aimed at digitization, presence on the territory and internationalization. “We traced the route to the LILT of the future,” said the National President, Francesco Schittulli. “These days of intense fruitful work were not only a celebratory moment, but a real yard of design ideas. Thanks to the synergistic contribution of all the professionals present, today the body is more cohesive, modern and ready to respond effectively to the challenges of contemporary health and wellness. From the army barracks to telemedicine labs, the LILT of tomorrow is already on the way to make cancer an ever more prevenble and healable disease.” The National Scientific Committee, the Ethics Committee, the Youth Committee, the Promotional and Relational Activity Committee, the Women’s Consultation and all Task Forces participated in the working tables: Design ECM Courses, Transparency and Legality, Sport and Health, Psychology, International Relations, Sene Pathologies, Wellness and Nutrition, organ and/or seated pathologies, Humanization and socio-sanitary reorganization, Fertility post oncologic treatments, Cutaneous Tumors, Oncological Pathologies of Elders, Rare Tumors, and Prostata Tumors The Assembly closed itself with a message of trust: the union between the experience of a centenary history and the energy of the new management paintings represents the pillar of a struggle for tumors increasingly incisive, winning and close to the citizen. -photo mec/Italpress – (ITALPRESS).
