ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Agency for Digital Italy and the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities have renewed the Protocol of Understanding that strengthens the institutional collaboration started in recent years, made today even more strategic by the advance of artificial intelligence and the challenges of digital transformation.
The aim, we read in a note, is to make available the informative patrimonies and their respective skills to promote initiatives aimed at strengthening digital culture, facilitating the growth and technological evolution in the country.
“The renewal of the agreement protocol with CRUI represents a further strengthening of the collaboration between the Public Administration and the university world, with the common goal of supporting the technological growth of the country – says the General Manager of AgID, Mario Nobile. Italian universities and the scientific community play a key role in developing new skills and in the ability of the country to face global technological challenges.”.

At the same time the forge of innovation and laboratory in which to experiment, thanks to the participation of professionally varied communities and to people belonging to different age and income groups – says Laura Ramaciotti, President CRUI – In this perspective the renewal of this Protocol confirms the will of the university system to be an active avant-garde of the digital transformation of the country. The collaboration with AgID allows us to put together valuable skills and infrastructure, indispensable to face with responsibility and vision the challenges posed by artificial intelligence. Thanks to this agreement we will continue to support Athens in building advanced educational and technological ecosystems, capable of generating innovation, digital culture and concrete opportunities for students, teachers, technical-administrative staff. At the same time creating best practices that, in need, will be available to the communities of the territories and the public administrations who need it.”.
In the immediate future, the collaboration will focus on three main guidelines: collaboration in the definition of guidelines relating to the adoption, development and procurement of artificial intelligence systems in the Public Administration, with the aim also to promote the correct transposition within the Universities; carrying out a national survey on the level of use of artificial intelligence in the Italian universities, so as to photograph the state of art and promote the sharing of best practices within and.
